A full range of quality bait is available on-site, making L’Étang des Landes an excellent option for anglers travelling from the UK who prefer not to transport large quantities of bait.

The bait selection has been developed specifically for the lake and is proven to produce results across all seasons.

Using on-site bait is recommended to maintain consistency and fish health. If bringing your own bait, it’s always best to check any restrictions in advance.

For added convenience, guidance and tuition are also available, helping you get the most from your session and maximise your chances of success.

Please allow us time for changeovers, arrival time is 2pm onwards & departure should be no later then 10am the following Saturday
Only pellets and particle baits supplied by the venue are allowed as feed, you may bring your own fresh / frozen boilies, NO SHELF LIFE IS ALLOWED but all baits brought on site must be from a well known bait company i.e Mainline / CC Moore / Nash etc or approved by me in advance. We have incredible insect based boilies from EVG baits and particles UK that constantly go in the lake available.
No Nuts of any kind
Any fish over 45lb MUST BE kept in the water for unhooking and transferring into the slings provided. The fish can only be removed for weighing once the sling is zipped up. We provide all equipment for landing and weighing the fish so please don’t bring your own.
You will need your waders as there’s a good chance you will have to get into the lake ! I have cleaning solution here to wash them before you start fishing
All other carp can be removed from the water using the sling provided & must be weighed and photographed over the cradle provided.
PLEASE MAKE SURE PECTORAL FINS ARE LYING FLAT AND JEWELLERY REMOVED BEFORE LIFTING
Any fish weighing 45lb+ please contact me so I can take photos and track fish growths.
Rig tubing must be used – Min length 1m (No leaders of any kind allowed)
Micro barbed hooks only – Min Size 6
No Zig Rig Fishing
Large Carp cradles are provided, all fish must be held over the cradles for photos
Max of 3 rods per angler
Min of 18lb line (NO BRAID ALLOWED AS MAINLINE EXCEPT FOR MARKER / SPOD)
Bait boats are allowed
Safe running rigs only / No fixed or semi-fixed leads
Antiseptic must be used on all hook holds & any other injuries to fish
No sacking of fish at any time
Only leave fish in slings until they have recovered & while camera equipment is being sorted.
No rods to be left unattended at ANY TIME
If you get snagged on anything please DO NOT pull for a break, we have a boat.
Please keep fish wet while unhooking & taking pictures, use the watering cans provided
No standing while holding carp (unless you are in the water)
No one under the age of 16 allowed to fish for Carp without prior approval
Drug & alcohol abuse will not be tolerated, anybody found intoxicated with their rods still in the water will be asked to leave…you’re on holiday…enjoy, but please don’t be fishing if you’re drunk…take the night off
