Lac Lassi features seven well-positioned swims, including two doubles, allowing small groups and mates’ trips to spread out comfortably around the lake. Depths range from around 4ft in spring to over 12ft in deeper areas, creating varied opportunities throughout the season.

Lac Lassi holds an impressive stock of hard-fighting carp within its mature gravel pit environment. While not considered a runs water, the lake rewards anglers who locate fish and fish accurately to its many natural features. The combination of gravel bars, weed growth, silty areas, and margin spots creates excellent opportunities for experienced carp anglers.

The current lake record stands at a huge 74lb, landed in spring 2025, with several other specimen carp present throughout the lake. Anglers also have the added excitement of large catfish exceeding 100lb, providing serious power when hooked.

The lake offers a balanced fishing experience with a variety of carp sizes, making it suitable for anglers chasing a personal best while still enjoying regular action. The established stock and natural lakebed features create an authentic French carp fishing experience that keeps anglers returning year after year.
Lac Lassi is ideal for anglers travelling from the UK for a drive and survive carp fishing holiday in France. The nearby town provides quick access to supermarkets, petrol stations, and essential fishing supplies, helping travelling anglers stay fully prepared throughout their session.

Due to the presence of crayfish at certain times of year, anglers are advised to bring suitable hookbait options and presentation tactics. The fishery actively works to manage crayfish numbers to minimise disruption.

To protect the health and welfare of the fish stock, strict fish care rules are in place. Lac Lassi supplies all landing nets, floating recovery slings, and carp cradles on-site, and anglers must not bring their own equipment. A carp care kit is also required and should be used after every capture to maintain fish welfare and reduce the risk of infection.
Maximum of 3 rods per angler. All in the same swim and not spread along the bank.
Rods must not be left unattended for any reason at any time and should be reeled in when leaving your swim.
Barbless or micro barbed hooks only. Maximum size 4, minimum size 6. Single hooks only. Trebles are not to be used for any fish.
Minimum diameter line 0.35 mono or fluorocarbon mainline.
No braided minalines
No lead core leaders or lead free leaders of any kind, including fused or safe zone leaders, shock leaders and snag leaders.
Rig tubing to be used at all times. minimum of 12 inches / 1 ft.
No fix leads of any description. We recommend dropping the lead. Nothing is to be fixed behind the lead system - flying back leads are allowed. All leads and rig tubing etc should easily slide over any knots.
No magic twig or similar devices to be used
All anglers must carry their own carp care kit. This kit must be used at all times when unhooking fish.
Never stand up whilst holding the fish, taking photos or returning the fish to the lake. Always keep the fish as low to the floor as possible.
When transferring the fish from the lake to the unhooking cradle, please do this in a weigh sling. Do not lift the fish into the net. Fish suspected to be over 40lb must be photographed in the water.
Nets, cradles and slings are provided by the fishery. Please do not bring your own.
In the event of a weekend up or snagged fish, please do not pull for a break. Use the boat to safely retrieve your tackle or free the fish.
Rowing or inflatable boats are not permitted. Only boats provide day the fishery are to be used, whilst wearing a life jacket.
Bait boats are permitted. If using a spomb to bait up, a spomb float must be used.
No drones.
All particle baits must be fully cooked and not just soaked, as these are dangerous to the fish. No nuts to be used, nut-based boillies are permitted. Shelf life boillies are to be used in moderation. We would prefer you to use freezer bait. No live or dead baits to be used.
You may retain your fish for a maximum of 30 minutes in the retaining sling provided. Please ensure the fish is in at least 4ft of water and there is good water exchange. Catfish must not be sacked at any time, day or night. Fish safety always comes first.
All carp caught must be photographed, weighed and recorded in your catch report, which must be returned/shared to the fishery at the end of the trip.
No litter permitted anywhere on site. All rubbish to be taken home with you when you leave. Please empty the fridge and freezer, no food to be left behind. This can be disposed of at your first rest area on your way home. All glass, oar and plastic can be recycled at the local supermarket. We have a zero tolerance policy to leaving rubbish and littering at the fishery
Removal or introduction of fish is strictly prohibited.
Please challenge any angler that you suspect should not be on site. All anglers should have proof of booking on their person. Anything of concern should be reported to online bailiff (Arnold) who is in regular attendance.
Noise levels to be kept to a minimum.
No fires or BBQs to be lit around the lake.
Strictly no drug or alcohol abuse
Please leave the toilet and shower facilities in a clean and tidy condition.
Do not cut back or remove any trees, branches or vegetation. Please leave your swim and the boat clean and tidy as found.
The owner, or any private guests of theirs reserve the right to fish at any time, except in the event of a whole lake booking.
The main gate to the fishery is to be kept locked at all times
